DOPA Sauna & Wellness Club Phuket in the Bang Tao area is a thoughtfully designed recovery space where it’s easy to spend a few hours — or an entire day. The interior is calm and contemporary, with a distinct resort-and-retreat feel: everything is orderly and quiet, soft music plays in the background, relaxation areas are neatly arranged, and the changing rooms are impeccably maintained.
At the heart of the club is its sauna landscape, featuring a traditional banya experience with venik (birch-branch) steaming rituals. Guests can choose from a steam room/hammam, dry and wet saunas, and special guided programs led by experienced masters, including breathwork sessions. For contrast therapy, there are ice plunge pools with real ice, several types of hot baths and jacuzzis — including mineral/magnesium options — and a swimming pool for relaxed laps.
Massage rooms are also available, with treatments delivered professionally and unhurriedly. If you’d like to add some movement to your day, there’s a small second-floor fitness corner equipped with the essentials.
The restaurant with its health-focused menu is another highlight: fresh dishes and drinks, coffee, wellness shots (including “immunity” shots), as well as more filling options such as steak, pizza, and the ever-popular syrniki (cottage cheese pancakes).
At times, the venue could benefit from stricter sauna etiquette and closer attention to small details — like tea service or the consistency of certain drinks — but overall, the standards of service, cleanliness, and organization are high.
