Five Olives in Phuket is a modern Italian restaurant with a neat, contemporary interior and a calm, homey feel. The dining room is cosy yet elegant, with comfortable seating, and it looks especially good in the evening. There’s parking right by the entrance, and it’s worth booking ahead for popular dates and peak hours.
The star of the menu is Neapolitan wood-fired pizza: a thin base with the signature blistering and light charring, a crisp edge, high-quality toppings, and a clean, non-greasy finish. The truffle and prosciutto options are particularly notable. While you wait, they bring out warm, freshly baked bread — best paired with good olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Beyond pizza, the kitchen serves pasta and gnocchi (including versions with truffle and with wagyu ragù), fish such as branzino, and steaks (picanha is sometimes available). For dessert, the tiramisu is a standout. There’s also a kids’ menu, including fish & chips. The cocktail list is more interesting than usual and works well with dinner.
Service is friendly and fast. Prices are on the higher side for Thailand, and 7% VAT plus a 10% service charge are added.
