Not the most popular viewpoint (or rather tower) in Phuket, but thanks to this, there’s a good chance you’ll be all alone there and that’s a definite plus.
A pretty lookout overlooking Chalong Bay and neighboring islands. There is a tower with an observation deck: a long staircase and scenic views of the ocean and mountains. There is a parking lot, three gazebos and a walking path of about 200 meters between them. It’s clean and quiet and has a gorgeous view of the sea. At the bottom is a steep cliff lined with trees where it seems you can see monkeys. The climb up to the observation tower is via a comfortable wide stone staircase with two elephant sculptures at its foot.
It is very beautiful here at sunset, when the Buddha seen from the other side is illuminated and then it seems to float in the air. The tower itself has everything you need for your comfort: the roof protects you from the sun and rain without obstructing your view, there are numerous benches where you can take a break and enjoy the views, and multilingual signage to help you understand which parts of the island lie in front of you.
