Oceano Kitchen is a small beachfront café on Nai Harn Beach, set right on the water beside the entrance to Nai Harn Hotel. It may look modest from the outside, but inside it wins you over with panoramic sea views and sunsets and an easy, laid-back beach vibe that makes it a comfortable spot to linger for lunch or dinner. Tables sit just steps from the sand, which also makes it family-friendly — kids can play on the shore within sight.
The menu is extensive. Indian cuisine is the main focus, with Thai and Western options as well. Curries and grilled dishes are strong here: butter chicken, chicken masala, korma, dal, biryani, skewers/kebabs, tandoori specialties, plus fish and seafood. A particular highlight is the fresh flatbreads baked in the tandoor or cooked on the griddle — naan, roti, and paratha — soft with a nicely browned crust, and easy to order as an extra. If you prefer milder food, they’re happy to adjust the spice level; mango milkshakes and lassi make a great match. Cocktails and cold beer are also available.
Service is friendly and attentive — staff can guide you through the menu and tend to practical details quickly (for example, dealing with insects drawn to the lights in the evening). Prices at a Nai Harn restaurant are reasonable for a beachfront spot. At times, food can take a bit longer to arrive, and a few dishes may be inconsistent in salt and intensity.
