Samet Nangshe Viewpoint

This hilltop viewpoint offers a divine panorama of the famous James Bond movie filming location. It’s an excellent spot for capturing stunning photos, including drone shots. The viewpoint is breathtaking in any weather, showcasing open spaces, lush jungles, islands, vibrant greenery, boat trails on the water, and airplane trails in the sky.

The scenic road from Phuket to the viewpoint mostly winds through the jungle, surrounded by palm trees, banana and rubber plantations, and hills. Near the viewpoint, you’ll find a bar, cafes, accommodations, and a campsite. Cars and bikes must be parked at the free parking area below. From there, a steep mountain road leads to the top, which you can either walk up for 30 baht or ride in a special vehicle for 90 baht. The descent by vehicle is free.

It’s best to arrive at the viewpoint by 5:30 AM (it opens at 4:30 AM) to witness the full beauty of the sunrise. Keep in mind that you need to be at the parking area at least 15 minutes before sunrise, as the ride in the pickup truck takes about the same time as walking. The pickup will only depart when full. Restrooms on-site are free of charge.
