Sea Breeze in Phuket is a small, family-run café tucked away from the busy streets on a gentle uphill lane. It’s simple and welcoming, with a quiet, relaxed vibe — no unnecessary fuss — pleasant background music, and Wi‑Fi. Seating is on an open-air terrace, where you get a partial view of the sea and Ao Makham Bay, even though the café itself sits on a calm side street.
The food is homestyle Thai cooking made from scratch to order. Nothing is pre-cooked and reheated: everything is prepared as you order, so service can take a little longer — especially when several tables are in at once. The payoff is worth it: fresh seafood, well-balanced sauces, and clean, straightforward flavors. Spice levels are easy to adjust, and they’re happy to make dishes genuinely mild if you ask.
The menu offers plenty of Thai favorites along with a few Western options. Standouts include tom yum with exceptionally fresh prawns, chicken soup, coconut prawns, mixed seafood dishes, curries, som tam (papaya salad), stir-fried morning glory, and a whole grilled fish served with a spicy sauce. Don’t miss the mango drinks — their juices and shakes are particularly good.
Prices are fair and local, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the owner speaks good English. The terrace can feel warm on hot days, but they’ll usually bring out a fan to help. In high season, it’s best to come early — there are only a few tables.
