In Thailand, Big Buddha figures can be found in almost all major temples. But the Big Buddha temple complex is definitely a must visit in the first place. It is famous for the huge marble statue of Buddha 45 meters high, which can be seen from many spots of the island.

The Buddha sits in the lotus position on Mount Nakaked and guards the temple dedicated to him. Next to the marble Buddha is a 12-meter-high brass statue of the Golden Buddha, dedicated to Queen Sirikit, the patroness of the Thai people.

While walking around the complex you will come across an unusual gong, according to legend, which produces a melodious sound if touched by a person with a pure soul. Rub its center part with your palms and you will succeed! There is also a stone with zero kilometer, where you can see a miniature model of the entire temple complex.

There is also a small museum on the site, which shows the stages of construction of the temple, there are also boxes for donations and a souvenir shop. All funds go towards the upkeep of this sacred site, so purchases are considered charity.

Throughout the year, hundreds of tourists and believers come here to worship the statue of the Great Buddha and ask for his health. Prepare in advance to visit the complex, clothes should cover your shoulders and knees.
