The Kitchen Table

The Kitchen Table in Phuket is a small restaurant at the Absolute Twin Sands resort in the Patong area, tucked between the buildings and surrounded by pools. In the evening it’s especially nice to sit by the water with a cold drink: the atmosphere is calm and intimate, the plating is neat, and the dining area is clean and well kept.

The menu’s main focus is stone-oven pizza. The crust is thin with crisp edges, ingredients are fresh, and there are options like double cheese and truffle pizza (a good choice if you don’t like a tomato base). Service is fairly quick — typically around 10–15 minutes. That said, some pizzas can taste quite similar due to overlapping cheese blends, and the menu names don’t always make it easy to tell what’s actually on them at a glance.

Beyond pizza, you’ll find burgers with fries, pasta (including carbonara), lasagna, and chicken dishes; sea bass with spinach also appears on the menu. For dessert there’s apple crumble, and guests are sometimes treated to ice cream. The bar side fits the poolside vibe well, with cocktails — including a solid piña colada — and a happy hour.

Prices are closer to hotel levels: pizzas run 350–490 THB, burgers are about 590 THB, and pasta is 500–800 THB. A nice extra is the “1+1” pizza deal on Tuesdays and Thursdays. In the evening, mosquitoes can be an issue near the water, and a few dishes can be hit-or-miss (for example, the chicken may turn out drier than expected).
