The Waldorf Phuket is a school based on the principles of Waldorf education.
Waldorf education is an international independent school movement that was founded in Europe nearly 100 years ago by Austrian philosopher and social reformer Rudolf Steiner. Today, this approach is represented worldwide by approximately 1,000 schools and nearly 2,000 early childhood programs in more than 60 countries.
In Waldorf education, the learning process consists of three essential elements: engaging the head, heart, and hands — thinking, feeling, and doing. This foundation guides Waldorf teachers in nurturing and engaging each child through a curriculum and methodology that integrates academic, artistic, and practical skills.
The program for children aged 6 to 8 is based on imitation and activity, with a strong emphasis on exploration and play as the foundation for developing independent and creative thinking. One of the school’s unique aspects is that children actively participate in expanding and constructing their own school while staying in harmony with nature.
