The place is interesting because it combines a pearl farm, a pearl workshop and a store at the same time.
The staff is very friendly, explains and shows the whole process of the production. In order to grow an artificial pearl, they cut a small cube from the shell, polish it and make it ball-shaped. Then they put it in the shell of a live mollusk, which then lives in the sea right near the farm. It takes a minimum of 2 years to grow one pearl.
Most of the products are made in a minimalist style and look very laconic and modern. Since there is a workshop in the store, you can replace any string, ribbon or the pearl itself, adjust a ring or chain to make it the size you need.
The farm is located on the beautiful wave-free Ao Yang beach, which we recommend visiting in low season. And the farm will be interesting for those who want to see how pearls are grown or to buy a jewelry souvenir for themselves or as a gift.
