The place is interesting because it combines a pearl farm, a pearl workshop and a store at the same time.
The staff is very friendly, explains and shows the whole process of the production. In order to grow an artificial pearl, they cut a small cube from the shell, polish it and make it ball-shaped. Then they put it in the shell of a live mollusk, which then lives in the sea right near the farm. It takes a minimum of 2 years to grow one pearl.
Most of the products are made in a minimalist style and look very laconic and modern. Since there is a workshop in the store, you can replace any string, ribbon or the pearl itself, adjust a ring or chain to make it the size you need.
The farm is located on the beautiful wave-free Ao Yang beach, which we recommend visiting in low season. Visiting the jewelry shop in Phuket will appeal to those interested in pearl cultivation techniques or seeking unique handcrafted jewelry pieces.
