WHITE ORANGE RED – Wine Bar in Phuket Town is a small “hidden gem” tucked away in a renovated old house down a lane near the market. Inside, you’ll find warm, low lighting, lo-fi / chill music, cozy armchairs, and the feeling that you’ve come to visit friends rather than a bar. The owners (a couple who run the place themselves) give a very warm welcome, happily talk you through the drinks, and help you choose. Guests are often greeted by their dog, Miss Peggy Sue.
The main highlight is natural wine: an interesting selection of bottles from small organic producers. In addition to wine, they also offer Thai craft beer, cocktails, and a “menu of the day.”
The food here goes far beyond simple bar snacks — it’s truly memorable small plates with unusual flavor combinations and influences from different cuisines. Standouts include the smoked eggplant salad, Burmese samosa salad, pork buns, Portuguese-style cheese and charcuterie boards, and sardine toast. It’s the kind of place where you want to try literally everything on the menu.
WHITE ORANGE RED is loved for its “home away from home” atmosphere, genuine hospitality, and as a perfect spot for a date or a relaxed evening with friends away from the tourist crowds. As a bonus, they sometimes host small events / pop-ups and sell locally designed items.
