Yuanpang x Mr. Burger is a cozy spot in Phuket Old Town where several cuisines come together under one roof — from well-made burgers to rice bowls and Chinese-style snacks. The interior is neat and very photogenic, the dining area feels clean and well kept, and the overall vibe is calm, making it a nice place to grab a bite and linger without rushing.
The biggest highlight is the huge variety on the menu. You’ll find burgers (including a truffle option, a double beef & cheese, and chicken versions), along with fries, nuggets, fried chicken with onions, and basil fried rice topped with an egg. There are also more Asian-leaning dishes such as Japanese rice with tender pork, rice with beef, dumpling soup, Sichuan-style “dry” dumplings (served without broth), and even pasta.
Desserts are a strong point too: classic toast and “fancy” toasts, custard, bread-based sweets, coconut ice cream with pandan, milkshakes and yogurt shakes, and fruity sodas. A nice extra is the free osmanthus tea.
Prices feel local and reasonable, portions are generous, and it works well for a budget lunch or a quick takeaway. Service can be a bit slow at times, and consistency isn’t always perfect (a burger may arrive not quite hot enough or with a slightly overcooked patty), but overall it’s an easy, straightforward place with lots of choice and friendly staff — sometimes one person runs the whole floor. You might also meet a very sociable cat inside.
