Armenian Food in Kathu (Phuket) is a small, neat café serving authentic Armenian cuisine — with no Thai spices or “local adaptations.” The place is spotless, and much of the cooking happens in front of you: the open kitchen builds trust and gives the whole experience a warm, home-style feel. It’s an especially nice spot for lunch, with a calm atmosphere and pleasant views.

The real stars of the menu are the shashlik and proper shawarma. The pork comes out tender and juicy, served with lavash, red onion with herbs, and a sauce of your choice (pickled onions are also available). The sauces are well balanced — designed to complement the meat rather than mask its flavor. The shawarma is generously sized and often ordered as a combo with fries and a drink. The fries are made with care, with the oil kept under control. You’ll also find lahmajo, basturma, and Armenian white cheese.

For drinks, they offer ayran and kvass, and it’s easy to stay for dessert: baklava and gata taste like homemade pastries, especially alongside Armenian coffee. Portions are filling and prices are reasonable, making it a place you can comfortably return to again and again.

Now and then you may wait around 15 minutes for meat dishes, as they’re cooked from scratch. If you’re ordering delivery, it’s best to confirm the available payment methods in advance.
