Cheow Lan in Brief
Cheow Lan Lake is located in Khao Sok National Park and is considered one of the most unusual natural places in Thailand. It is surrounded by towering limestone cliffs covered in jungle, while flooded trees rise directly from the turquoise water.
The main advantage of the private format is that you are not dependent on a large group bus or someone else’s schedule. You can enjoy the scenery at your own pace, take photos, and spend time by the lake without rushing.

The day starts very early — at around 04:30. It is all for the sunrise at a viewpoint overlooking Phang Nga Bay. Here you can take photos and enjoy morning coffee or tea as daylight gradually fills the surroundings.
Then the route continues to Cheow Lan Lake. Upon arrival, you will board a traditional long-tail boat and set off to explore the lake.
The first part of the boat trip takes you among the famous Guilin cliffs. Towering limestone cliffs covered in lush greenery rise directly from the water, creating one of the most recognizable landscapes of Cheow Lan.
Next, the boat will head deeper into the bay toward the flooded forest. Dry trunks of centuries-old trees, left standing after the reservoir was created, rise from the turquoise water here. The place looks especially unusual and is completely different from the typical Thai landscapes.
After the boat trip, you will have lunch at a floating restaurant. You can also swim directly from the pier or go kayaking near the hotel.
The final stop is Bang Riang Temple, located on top of a mountain. The temple complex is known for its atmosphere, architecture, and panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. It is a beautiful ending to an eventful day.
The private format allows you to spend the day without a large group or unnecessary rushing. You travel at a comfortable pace, while the itinerary includes all the main highlights of the program.
In just one day, you will see the sunrise over Phang Nga, the turquoise waters of Cheow Lan, the Guilin cliffs, the flooded forest, and the mountain-top Bang Riang Temple — a completely different side of Thailand, far from the usual resort routes.
