Elephant Jungle Cafe in Phuket is a place where feeding elephants up close is part of a structured, guided experience. Before it starts, visitors receive a clear briefing and are assigned a guide who stays with the group, answers questions, and shares stories about the animals. The cafe is home to rescued female elephants and calves. There are no riding activities, the elephants are not kept in chains, and while some animals allow gentle contact, others are best enjoyed from a respectful distance.

The standard option is a one-hour time slot (with part of that time used for the introduction). Prices are typically 800–900 THB per person. The package includes a basket of fruit — mini bananas, pineapple, watermelon, and cucumbers. Feeding takes place right by the fence at close range, which also makes it easy to take photos. After the session, you can redeem a drink using the wristband you receive.

There’s also an on-site cafe overlooking the enclosure, so you can grab a snack or coffee (including their signature options) while waiting for your slot. The indoor area isn’t air-conditioned — fans do most of the work — and during peak times it can get crowded, with some waiting involved. Booking ahead and arriving closer to the start of your slot is usually the most convenient approach. If you pay by card, an additional processing fee may apply.

An optional extra is a short demonstration on turning elephant dung into paper, with small notebooks as part of the activity. A few minor points to note: groups are sometimes asked to wrap up a little earlier than the scheduled end time, and drinks may be served in disposable cups.
