TOP CAT CAFÉ in Phuket is a cosy coffee spot combined with a rescue cat sanctuary. Inside you’ll meet a big feline “family” of 30+ cats of different ages, personalities, and breeds — including exotic and hairless ones. The cats are well cared for and relaxed. They’re friendly but never forced to interact: they decide who to approach, might curl up beside you, or even fall asleep on your lap.
The visit is organised in a clear, thoughtful way. At the entrance you’re given clean socks, the staff explain the rules, and you can get treats for the cats — usually chicken (extra snacks are also available for purchase). Entry is 200 THB (treats are around 30 THB), so it’s easy to stay longer than planned — especially with kids. The place feels family-friendly and laid-back, and the room is clean and comfortable.
The café side is casual rather than formal: you can grab an iced latte, strawberry matcha, coffee, and desserts. The milkshakes are especially worth trying — thick, rich, and satisfying enough to feel like a dessert on their own.
A small note when feeding: in the excitement a cat may reach out with a paw and accidentally scratch you. If that happens, the staff will disinfect the scratch and give you a plaster. It’s an easy place to combine a coffee break with genuine “cat therapy” — and to support a space that gives animals a safe home and a chance to find a new family.
