Grill’n Brew@Timber Restaurant is a Western-style grill spot in Phuket, just a short walk from the streets of Old Town. The interior feels both stylish and welcoming: two levels with a mezzanine, soft lighting, comfortable seating, and an unhurried lounge atmosphere. There’s even a subtle hint of rose in the air.
The menu revolves around meat and satisfying comfort food — steaks, BBQ, pork ribs, burgers, and thin-crust pizza with a crisp bite. You’ll also find a few Asian options, such as Hainanese chicken rice, rice noodles in a rich broth or curry, and a mushroom soup. Salads and sauces are a standout: the vegetables are fresh, and the dressings are bold and memorable. Halal dishes are available as well.
If you prefer to sample a bit of everything, the restaurant offers an all-you-can-eat buffet for 159 THB, available from noon until midnight. It includes a salad bar, soups, pasta and noodles, rice dishes, and simple desserts like taro and corn pudding — sometimes watermelon, too.
The bar program is another strong point, with a wide selection of imported beers, and tastings available before you commit to an order. In the evenings, there’s live music or a DJ set. The sound level is generally comfortable, although it can feel a little loud during the day if you’re trying to have a conversation.
Service is friendly and attentive, with staff happy to explain current deals and help you choose dishes. That said, the promotions can be a bit confusing, and during busy periods the team doesn’t always clear plates quickly. A few minor issues have been noted as well — ribs occasionally arriving not quite hot enough, uneven air-conditioning, and limited parking nearby.
