Kamala Beach is a picturesque spot in the central part of Phuket’s west coast, perfect for family vacations and those seeking seclusion.
The gentle entrance to the water and soft golden sand make this beach an excellent choice for vacationing with children. During the low season, high waves appear here, while in the high season swimming is quite safe. Along with the waves, surfers also appear on the beach. If you want to try conquering the elements too, you can rent a board here.
There are palm trees on the beach, but they don’t cast enough shade to shelter in the cool. It’s better to take a sun lounger with an umbrella for 100 baht.
The infrastructure is well-developed: there are small cafes, shops, stalls with clothes and beach accessories, and massage salons. Showers and toilets are also available, but you’ll have to pay for them. In the north of the beach is Café Del Mar, where stylish parties are held.
