Krabi province – island tours and attractions

Home Excursions Krabi province – island tours and attractions

Krabi is the Thailand that surprises even those who have already managed to see popular islands, beaches, and go on sea excursions. Here nature looks so vivid and unusual that some places seem unreal: emerald lakes among the jungles, hot waterfalls right in the forest, huge caves, and temples hidden among the rocks.

Briefly about Krabi Province

Krabi is one of the most beautiful provinces in southern Thailand, located on the mainland east of Phuket, on the coast of the Andaman Sea. From Phuket to mainland Krabi it takes about 2.5–4 hours depending on the route.

The main feature of Krabi Province is its incredible combination of nature. Here sheer limestone cliffs, mangrove forests, tropical jungles, hot waterfalls, emerald lakes, and hundreds of islands in the sea come together.

Bang Kram Nature Reserve, Emerald Lake, Blue Lake, hot waterfall, Tiger Cave Temple, Klang Cave, elephant village (no riding!).

Adult: 2600 baht, child: 2400 baht.

At the same time, Krabi is not only the mainland with temples, natural parks, hot springs, and lakes, but also a vast region with dozens of islands. Many famous locations in southern Thailand belong to Krabi Province: the Phi Phi Islands, Hong Island, Bamboo Island, Lao Lading, and the Railay beaches.

Because of this, confusion often arises: when people say “a tour in Krabi,” they may mean either a trip around the mainland part of the province with its jungles, waterfalls, and temples, or sea excursions to the islands of the Krabi region.

This excursion shows exactly the mainland Thailand – from all the most favorable viewpoints.

The first stop is the Bang Khram Nature Reserve – one of the most famous natural places in southern Thailand. Here is the famous Emerald Lake with warm mineral water of an unusual turquoise-green shade.

After a short walk through the jungle, the route leads to the Blue Lake – an almost mystical place among dense forest, and then to a hot waterfall. Here warm mineral water cascades through stone pools right among the trees.

Next, the excursion shifts from nature to the spiritual atmosphere of Thailand – the Tiger Cave Temple. Those who are ready for a small challenge can climb 1,260 steps to a panoramic viewpoint overlooking jungles, cliffs, and endless green plains.

Another important part of the route is the huge Krabi Cave. Its scale and atmosphere make it feel like the set of an adventure movie.

The finale of the day is a meeting with elephants – a calm and very emotional end to the journey.
