Lo Sfizio is an Italian restaurant in Patong, just a short walk from Bangla Road. With bars and the night market nearby and the beach about 15–20 minutes away on foot, it’s an easy spot to fit into an evening out. The space is small but well laid out, with pleasant music and a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to feel “a little bit like Italy.”
The menu focuses on authentic Italian cooking, with real attention to flavor and presentation. Pasta and first courses are a clear highlight: carbonara, seafood linguine, spaghetti alle vongole, bolognese, gnocchi, and tagliatelle with duck ragù. There are also hearty mains, such as tender beef with vegetables, along with classic meatballs. The pizza deserves special mention too — light dough, a bold, well-balanced sauce, and generous toppings that work beautifully together.
For dessert, you’ll find tiramisu and cannoli; after dinner, there’s good coffee, spritzes, and limoncello, and the wine list is thoughtfully chosen. Portions are satisfying, and prices are still reasonable by Patong standards.
Service is friendly and fast. The staff are attentive, and the owner — Michele, an Italian — often welcomes guests personally and helps with recommendations. Special requests can usually be accommodated. On rare occasions, a dish may be slightly off (for example, pasta cooked not quite to your preference), but overall the food and hospitality remain consistently strong.
