Shabu In is a modern Phuket restaurant that brings together a sushi bar and hot pot under one roof. It’s an easy place to visit with friends: choose a time-limited premium all-you-can-eat buffet and order as much as you like, from appetizers to meat and seafood. Their most popular set is usually around 899 THB, and for the price the selection feels generous.
The core concept is cooking right at your table. Each hot pot is heated on a personal induction hob built neatly into the table, and the staff are happy to walk you through the settings — or even mix a dipping sauce tailored to your taste. The menu really shines when it comes to wagyu and fresh seafood: rich slices of beef for shabu-shabu, shrimp, fish, plus sashimi and rolls. Some items, like squid, are cooked especially well — tender, not rubbery. Drinks come with free refills, aprons are provided for convenience, and there’s even a small but welcome touch: staff will help peel your shrimp.
The vibe is clean, calm, and slightly high-tech. You place orders from your phone, and dishes arrive via a tech-forward delivery system — capsules or trays running along a conveyor belt, sometimes even in a mini “airplane.” Service is attentive and friendly, and food generally comes out quickly.
A few minor drawbacks: certain items may occasionally run out or arrive later than expected, the restrooms could use an upgrade to match the overall standard, and the street signage isn’t always easy to spot.
