Maison de Zoo Café in Phuket is an indoor, air-conditioned animal café with a hands-on petting area. It stays cool and comfortable even during the day, so kids don’t get tired as quickly and the visit feels relaxed rather than hectic. The venue looks fresh, clean, and well maintained, with no strong odors and plenty of nicely styled, “Instagram-friendly” shared spaces.
The animals are housed in separate rooms, where you can meet capybaras, meerkats, prairie dogs, foxes, raccoons, monkeys, and other residents. The concept is built around close interaction: many animals can be gently petted, and the staff keeps a close eye on guests to make sure the animals are handled carefully. If you’d like to feed them, you can buy individual packs of food.
A few entry rules are worth noting. Shoes aren’t allowed in the animal areas, so you’ll need clean socks (you can also purchase them on-site if needed). Admission is paid separately from drinks and animal food. The red panda room requires an additional ticket and is significantly more expensive than standard entry, so it’s best to confirm the current terms in advance. Keep in mind that some enclosures may look fairly minimal, and parts of the building may occasionally be under renovation.
After spending time with the animals, it’s easy to switch to the café area for drinks and light food, plus a nice extra: a small sweet treat included with your receipt. Overall, it’s a family-friendly spot for warm, memorable moments in central Phuket Town, close to Old Town and Central.
