Red Sauce is an Italian restaurant at Rosewood Phuket, overlooking the resort’s pools and lush greenery, with Tri Trang Beach and the bay peeking through in the distance. The space feels like a refined bistro within a five‑star retreat: high ceilings, thoughtfully designed lighting, and an open kitchen where you can easily watch the team at work.
The menu focuses on authentic Italian cooking and top‑quality ingredients — some imported from Italy, others sourced locally. Standout choices include the bread basket and house sourdough, carpaccio, lasagna, ravioli and agnolotti del plin, squid‑ink black risotto, Mediterranean fish soup, pan‑seared octopus, yellowfin tuna, veal, and steak. There’s also an excellent gluten‑free pizza. Desserts alone are worth the visit: the tiramisu is finished tableside with a bit of theater, and the meal is often rounded off with small treats such as chocolate and a splash of sherry.
Service is both polished and genuinely warm. The team is attentive to allergies and dietary restrictions, happy to accommodate special requests, and the restaurant works equally well for a date night, a family dinner, or celebrations — including arranging a cake presentation.
A few things to keep in mind: entering the hotel grounds and finding the venue in the evening can take time (some areas are dimly lit), and prices match the level of a luxury resort — certain dishes may feel steep. During high season, booking ahead is recommended, and it’s nice to arrive early for a drink at the pool bar. Breakfasts are also a strong point, with a varied buffet, wholesome options, and very good coffee.
