SōL Phuket is a stylish restaurant, known for its calm, welcoming vibe and carefully plated food. The space is clean and well kept, with both indoor and outdoor seating; during the day it’s also an easy place to settle in with a laptop. The neighborhood still feels up-and-coming, with ongoing construction nearby, but inside you’ll find a polished, contemporary interior. The main visual highlight is the open kitchen, which is genuinely fun to watch in action.
The menu leans into a blend of Thai and Western flavors, covering everything from brunch staples to more substantial dinner plates. The cooking is precise and confident — think Tom Yum Benedict, a farmer’s breakfast, classic tom yum, crab toast, khao soi gai, basil pork with rice, and green curry paste. For dinner, there are options like beef cheek, tuna tartare, vongole pasta, steak, schnitzel, and salads (for example, arugula with Parmesan). Portions are generous.
Drinks are a strong point, especially the coffee, tea, and matcha (available in several variations), along with cocktails such as different spritzes, a whisky sour, and an Aperol spritz. Desserts are a highlight in their own right — sticky toffee pudding and other sweets can easily be the perfect ending to the meal. Live music is added on Fridays.
Families will appreciate the thoughtful touches: a kids’ corner with toys and a changing table in the restroom. The restaurant is also pet-friendly. Prices are above average, and a service charge and tax are added. One more thing to note: opening at 10:00 a.m. may be too late if you’re looking for an early breakfast.
