Sushi Nikko 2 & Thai Food in Phuket (Karon area) is a no‑frills roadside eatery where the focus is firmly on the food. The dining room is clean and homey: they give you disposable wet wipes and cutlery, the vibe is friendly, and you might even get a small complimentary treat at the end — usually watermelon.

The place runs two menus — Japanese and Thai, so it’s easy to put together a meal to match your mood. On the Japanese side, you’ll find oversized rolls loaded with fish, plus sashimi and sushi; tuna, salmon, and unagi are especially good, and there are also eye‑catching set platters served on a stand. The Thai menu covers the classics: tom kha and seafood tom yum, pad thai, wok‑fried dishes, green curry, and delicate steamed fish. For dessert, they have mango sticky rice. There are a few more “Western” options too, like carbonara, and in the morning they serve breakfast with eggs, coffee, and juice. Spice levels can be adjusted on request.

Portions are genuinely large: even a standard six‑piece roll is filling, and a typical bill for two comes to around 600–700 THB. Food is prepared quickly even when the place is busy, and the drinks are solid as well (the passion fruit is a good choice).

A couple of things to keep in mind: it’s right by the road, so it can get noisy, and the entrance isn’t always easy to spot. Card payments are accepted with a 3% surcharge. Service is generally fast, but occasional delays, missed items, or inconsistent portion sizes can happen — so it’s best to confirm your order right away.
