Bodhi Vegan Cafe & Restaurant is a cozy spot in Chalong, Phuket — about a kilometer from Wat Chalong Temple. It’s calm and pleasantly cool inside, with seating in the main dining area as well as a small outdoor terrace with a couple of tables.
The kitchen is built around a truly 100% vegan menu, with no “compromises” like eggs. Everything is made to order from fresh ingredients, neatly plated, and designed to be flavorful, satisfying, and well-balanced in texture. Portions are notably generous, while prices remain very reasonable.
The menu offers plenty of variety: burgers (including Beyond Meat), an avocado–falafel wrap, burritos, tacos, sandwiches, and bowls. Thai favorites are a real highlight — Penang and Massaman curries, and tom kha — alongside pasta with pesto and a convenient “build your own salad” option. The vegan “Caesar,” topped with plant-based “chicken,” is especially worth trying.
Drinks are more than an afterthought: smoothies (like açaí and mango-banana), smoothie bowls (matcha or chocolate), and fresh juices such as orange. They sometimes even treat guests to little complimentary extras like ginger shots or dessert. For something sweet, there’s blueberry cheesecake, a Snickers-style bar, and mango sticky rice.
Service is warm and attentive, and the staff are happy to help you choose. One practical note: it’s best to bring cash, as card payments aren’t always available.
