Yo Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurant in Phuket is a place where vegan food feels like a proper Thai canteen — with the comfort and polish of a modern café. It actually operates in two formats under one name: a small air‑conditioned dining room with an à la carte menu, and, just nearby, a more open seating area with fans and a display counter of ready-made dishes — perfect when you want to grab a quick plate of rice with a few toppings.

The menu is built around Thai classics made fully vegan, with no fish sauce, shrimp paste, or other “hidden” animal ingredients. Expect tom yum, noodle soups, a range of curries (including milder options), and plenty of tofu and soy‑protein dishes. There are also more fast‑food‑style choices like burgers, nuggets, spring rolls, and gyoza, plus fun textures such as a crispy vegan “omelet.” Desserts are a highlight too — banoffee and tiramisu — along with smoothies.

One of the biggest strengths here is the wide selection of vegan meat alternatives: vegan “fish,” sausages, and more. Some items are sold frozen, so you can stock up to take home. Portions are generous, takeaway is packed neatly, and it’s easy to buy enough food for several days at once.

Price-wise, it’s among the most budget-friendly vegan spots in town: ready-made plates start at roughly 40–60 THB, café dishes are about 75–120 THB, and smoothies run 50–60 THB. The atmosphere is calm, and the staff are attentive — happy to help you choose dishes and adjust the spice level. A couple of minor downsides: seating near the road can be noisy, the counter dishes aren’t always served piping hot, and finding the entrance may take a bit of extra attention the first time.
