Edo Yakiniku in Phuket is a Japanese yakiniku restaurant focused on grilled meats and a clean, well-organized dining experience. The interior leans into calm, dark tones, and the seating is genuinely comfortable — there are regular tables as well as spots designed for solo diners. It also feels cozy during the rainy season, and on-site parking within the complex means you’re not at the mercy of the weather.
The real standout here is the premium beef. The marbled cuts turn out especially tender, the tenderloin practically melts, and the short rib stays juicy and satisfyingly meaty. If you’re into delicacies, the A5 Wagyu is a great pick — rich and intense, though it may feel a bit “too much” for those who prefer a lighter flavor. The beef tongue deserves special mention: the classic version is solid, while the premium option is bolder and more memorable. Beyond beef, the menu also includes pork, fresh river prawns, marinated salmon, and a salmon salad with a well-balanced dressing. For a change of pace, there’s sushi as well.
The value is one of the restaurant’s strengths. Lunch sets come with several types of meat, and there are occasional promotions and fixed-price sets available until 6:00 PM. A popular option is the 999 THB set, which is notably filling. Meats are served with a selection of sauces (up to six different kinds), you’ll get salted edamame on the house, and cold green tea refills are free. In some lunch sets, rice and drinks are ordered separately.
Service is polite and fast. A couple of minor notes: the private room can feel a bit tight, and one of the “bacon-style” cuts can sometimes be on the chewier side.
