Where to watch the sunset in Phuket

Fact: Phuket has stunning sunsets! The Insider has gathered the top spots on the island where you can catch the most beautiful sunsets.

🔸Viewpoints

⚓️Promthep Cape

A breathtaking panorama of the Andaman Sea and Nai Harn Beach. There’s also a lighthouse at the cape, which serves as a small museum.

🏞️Windmill Viewpoint

One of the most romantic spots. There’s a gazebo where you can enjoy the sunset and watch the coastal lights come on.

🌄Black Rock

Black Rock

Offers a panoramic view of Phuket’s southern coast, including Nai Harn and Yanui beaches. The road to the viewpoint is a bit rough, so be cautious on a bike. Park your vehicle and hike about 10 minutes to the top. The views are worth it.

🔸Beaches

Almost all beaches in Phuket offer stunning sunsets, but the best ones are along the west coast.

🌴Banana Beach

A secluded beach near Nai Thon Beach. There are a few cafes where you can enjoy local cuisine while watching the sunset.

🌴Kata Noi

A quiet and cozy beach. It’s flanked by large rocks on both sides, making it especially photogenic. The northern end of Kata Noi is perfect for sunset photo sessions.

🌴Laem Sing

Laem Sing

A wild beach that not many know about, making it a peaceful spot to enjoy the sunset. You can reach Laem Singh by walking a narrow trail from the southern part of Surin Beach or by renting a boat from nearby beaches.

🔸Panoramic restaurants

🍹Malika Sky Bar

The perfect spot for a date! Captivating views and pleasant music create the perfect atmosphere.

🏞️ Baba Nest

A rooftop venue. People come here primarily for the view rather than the food, but the cuisine is excellent too. Pro tip: for the best view, reserve a table on the right side.

Baba Nest

🏝️Beach Restaurant by The Surin Phuket

Located right on the beach, with the sound of waves as the natural backdrop for your dinner. Excellent selection of appetizers, main courses, and drinks.

Don’t forget that in the tropics, sunsets are very quick, so make sure to arrive at the spots in advance!
