A selection of wave-free beaches in Phuket during the low season

Phuket is a year-round vacation destination, where air and water temperatures are almost the same at any period of time. From about May to October is the low season, during this period the monsoon winds begin to blow, which create quite large waves on most beaches in Phuket.

We have prepared a selection of wave-free beaches where you can swim all year round.

1. Ao Yon beach. Panwa Cape is located on the east coast, so the sea is much calmer here.

2. Merlin Snorkel Beach. Located near Patong Beach. This beach belongs to the Marriot Hotel, but the entrance is free for everyone.

3. Coral Beach. This beach is located on Ko He Island, 20 minutes from the southern point of Phuket – Rawai Beach. In order to get here, you need to rent a boat.

4. Naiyang. Here you can find waves, but not as many as on the other beaches. The calmest part is at the southern end.

5. Tri Trang. Located close to the Patong beach. Quite secluded and relatively wild beach, as there are no hotels and developed infrastructure.

6. Paradise. Another beach near Patong. There is a fee to enter and no food or drinks are allowed here.

7. Hua Beach. A quiet and secluded beach near the famous Kamala Beach.

‼️WARNING!! Almost all of the beaches listed above have high tides and you can swim there only during the low tide period. Be sure to check out the tide schedule, such as the Tides app one.
